Founder, Kingdom Economics Lecturer, Evangelist About The OrganizationKEISHA is organized under the leadership of Rev. John E. Jones, who founded the ministry while working as a Chaplain with the Virginia Department of Corrections, Juvenile Division. KEISHA started as a juvenile crime prevention program in 1985, and was very effective. Initially, trained team leaders staffed it and Christ-centered volunteers carried on its day-to-day work.
In 1987, Rev. Jones received a contract to use his KEISHA Program to improve student discipline, and academic scores, within Virginia's public schools. The program was a success, and quickly became renowned for its effectiveness with youths of all ages.
By 1989, KEISHA had received many Richmond City Council Resolutions, accolades from school boards, the governments of Tanzania, Africa, local and national clergy, elected officials and members of the United Nations. KEISHA remained in school systems until the near fatal accident of its Founder in July 1989. In 1992, it was reorganized as a ministry, based on the visions, which Dr. Jones saw on his deathbed, which he compiled into one vision called: The Crown Vision
After his deathbed experience, Rev. Jones made the KEISHA
Program available to churches, communities, schools, and non-profit
organizations in the interest of saving our children and based on their
individual needs.
Our Mission
KEISHA is a Christ-centered economic ministry that provides programs in discipline, economic empowerment, money management, and team achievement for children and families. Its name is acronymic for the Knowledge of Economic Independence and Self-Help Alliances. KEISHA seeks to organize every human and economic resource for the Kingdom of God as directed by the Holy Spirit.
